What is USDC?

USDC (USD Coin) is a stablecoin pegged 1:1 to the US Dollar. Unlike volatile cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, 1 USDC always equals $1.00 USD.

USDC is issued by Circle, a regulated financial technology company. Every USDC in circulation is backed by actual US dollar reserves, which are regularly audited.

This means when you receive 100 USDC from CaribSend, you're receiving exactly $100 USD worth of value that you can hold, spend, or convert at your convenience.

What To Do With Your USDC

Hold & Accumulate

Keep USDC in your wallet as a USD-backed savings. No volatility risk.

Send to Exchange

Transfer to Coinbase, Kraken, or local exchanges to convert to local currency.

Use Circle Direct

Circle allows direct USDC redemption to bank accounts in select countries.

Peer-to-Peer

Sell USDC to other traders locally for cash at market rates.

Security Best Practices

  • Never share your seed phrase — CaribSend will never ask for it
  • Double-check addresses before adding to CaribSend
  • Use a dedicated wallet for your merchant operations
  • Enable 2FA on any exchange accounts you use
